Spitalfields is where the City meets the East End. It is one of the most diverse and vibrant areas in London – a mixture of curry houses and historic houses, bustling markets and a huge variety of shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs – attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors and tourists each year.
This mix has brought problems – drug dealing, alcohol abuse, litter, urination and rowdy behaviour – thus spoiling the neighbourhood for its residents.
Spitalfields Community Group has been formed to improve the quality of the environment for its Members and aims to foster a community spirit amongst its multi-cultural neighbours.
